How I Work

Therapy with me isn’t about advice or quick fixes. It’s about creating space – space to notice what you feel, to make sense of what’s going on, and to meet yourself with greater honesty and gentleness.

Our work is collaborative and responsive. You bring what feels most important, and together we explore it – with care, presence, and a sense of possibility.

I draw from:

  • Person-Centred therapy – offering empathy, respect, and trust in your inner knowing.
  • Gestalt therapy – focusing on awareness in the present moment.
  • Existential therapy – exploring meaning, freedom, choice, and being.

“The act of revealing oneself fully to another and still being accepted may be the major vehicle of therapeutic help.”

— Irvin D. Yalom

Who I Work With

You might be feeling:

  • Stuck or overwhelmed by the pace or pressure of life – like you’re running on empty or unsure which way to turn.
  • Caught in inner conflict or self-criticism – like there’s a voice inside that won’t stop judging or doubting you.
  • Worn down by burnout or chronic stress – feeling exhausted, disconnected, or unable to switch off.
  • Disconnected from yourself or your needs – unsure what you want or who you are beneath the surface.
  • In grief, transition, or seeking new meaning – facing loss, change, or longing for something deeper.

These experiences are deeply human and often interconnected. If any of this resonates, you’re in the right place.

Counselling and psychotherapy can offer support as you move through pain, reconnect with yourself, and make space for something new. My practice is grounded in values of care, respect, and justice. It is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, gender-affirming, and anti-racist.

I aim to create a therapeutic space where all parts of you are welcome – where your identity, your history, and your way of being in the world are not only acknowledged, but honoured.

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, ‘Soften the orange a bit on the right-hand corner.’ I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”

— Carl Rogers
